100 things to do in Cyprus
To kick start our travel blog, we have taken all of the comments on our facebook post and we have started to work our way through all the places we know and love and the recommendations. Once we reach 100… we will explore more! Wahoo… Its actually really exciting to explore all of the places on the island and for such a small island we have a ton of things to see and do. We will try and start with things to do in Protaras and family activities in Ayia Napa areas and work our way round.
Keep your eyes peeled for some amazing gems and dont forget to comment if there is a place you think should make the list. 😉
Off traveling – Katie xoxo
#1 our journey takes us to our must see place, the Sea caves in Cape Greco Nature reserve. Head over and check them out. sea caves
#2 Today we head to the seas and enjoy a fantastic boat trip by Aphrodite 2. Setting sail from Ayia Napa harbor we head off along the coast, visiting the sea caves, stopping for swimming stops and enjoying the scenery as we head up to the boarder and learn about the history of the “Northern Occupied Cyprus”. This is a brilliant boat trip, friendly staff, relaxing, fun and enjoy a lunch onboard.
#3 on our next adventure we seek out Kakopetria. Winding our way in to the mountains is the beautiful village of Kakopetria with little waterfalls and charming village life. Set around a main square it is worth a little stop if you are passing through that way.
#4 Time sensitive as not everyone will get to enjoy the Cyprus Carnival but if you are here at the beginning of the season before Easter you might be lucky enough to head into Paralimni Square for the carnival celebrations. Over the years it has got bigger and better and more elaborate. Don’t forget to bring your mask and wig… Its good for the soul to act a little silly at times 😉
#5 With free entrance this really is a must see if you are visiting Ayia Napa or Protaras this summer. Ayia Napa sculpture park is a really nice place just to walk around and appreciate the sculptures.
